It stimulates fibroblasts and endothelial cells, forming new vessels and extracellular matrix, playing a crucial role in the repair mechanisms of tissues and collagen stimulation production. Thus, PRP treatments involve the injection of concentrated platelets into targeted areas of your skin to improve skin texture, reduce fine lines, promote a youthful glow, and stimulate hair growth (hair restoration).

Before your PRP treatment, stay hydrated, eat a healthy diet and avoid alcohol for a few days before your appointment to help improve the quality of your blood. Avoid taking blood-thinning medications and non-steroidal anti-inflammatories such as aspirin or ibuprofen for at least a week unless you have medical needs to take them.

A typical PRP session lasts about 60 to 90 minutes, including the blood draw, the processing time, the application of topical anesthetics, and the treatment.

PRP therapy is versatile and can be used for various aesthetic treatments, including:

However, you should avoid strenuous exercise, heat, and water exposure of the areas treated for 24 hours afterwards.

Initial improvements can be seen within a few weeks, with full results becoming more apparent after 2 to 3 months as collagen production develops.
